Family
Ryan and I were married in September of 2010. We are thrilled to serve together at EMI. My parents and sister reside in Colorado.
Story
Born and raised in Colorado, I initially majored in engineering just because I liked math and science, while pursuing my degree I began to understand that I really DID like engineering and how it can be used to help people all over the world! My relationship with the Lord began while I was in college in 1996 and almost immediately I began to have a heart for ministry. A professor told me about EMI (I thank God otherwise I may have quit engineering to pursue other avenues to serve the Lord) and soon after graduation I began serving with EMI as an intern! My love and heart for this ministry grew after my internship as I volunteered on trips, hosted interns in my home, lead a prayer group for EMI, and developed close relationships with several staff members which led to a natural transition to joining staff in 2003. I served for 7 years as the Director of the Intern Program recruiting and mobilizing to serve in all of EMI's offices worldwide. It is a joy to return to India as staff with my husband who has been serving with EMI, we look forward to serving the Lord together wherever he would lead us.
Professional Training and Experience
I received my bachelors in Civil Engineering at Colorado State University in 1998, after completing an EMI internship in Colorado and India, I worked as a water resources engineer for 4-1/2 years. Soon after becoming professionally licensed, I joined staff at EMI in Colorado Springs. My primary role in joining staff in 2003 was as the Director of the Intern Program. I loved seeing lives being changed and transformed before my eyes. Since joining staff I have also led and co-lead various projects around the world. I have really enjoyed learning more about architecture and love learning about new cultures.
Verses to Live By
Isaiah 55:5: Surely you will summon nations you know not,
and nations you do not know will come running to you,
because of the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel,
for he has endowed you with splendor."
Matthew 6:33-34: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
